Winter

At first I thought it wouldn't be possible to pull together an arrangement for this week, but I pulled on my boots and raincoat and trudged out in search of inspiration. To my surprise I pulled together: elderflower, potato vine (Solanum jasminoides), hollyhock, erlicheer & paper white jonquils, queen annes lace and cedar berries. Still, I'm looking forward to that time when I have a riot of colour to play with again!

Last of the Roses

A simple preserving jar of the last of the icebergs. I gave them what can only be likened to giving your child a bowl cut today. Needless to say they look rather bare and sad - but they will be all the better for it come Spring! Linking up with Floret and the Seasonal Flower Alliance.

A mini jug of calm

A little jug of calm in a chaotic week. The first of the jonquils (early cheer and paper white), snow pea vine and flowers, choysum gone to seed, the ever reliable euphorbia, the last Lichfield angel David Austin, and a small branch of snow pear with it's remaining leaves all from my garden.  Teaming up with Floret for the seasonal flower alliance.

The dregs of Autumn

This weeks arrangement has a very autumnal feel, all foraged from the garden. A few branches of bell peppers, bay, fennel, strawberry leaves, grape vine, aloe, succulent, euphorbia, grass seeds and beloperone (or Shrimp Plant!). Linking up with the seasonal flower alliance.

Greetings Winter!

Happy first day of Winter! It's been unseasonably warm here so I have a rather Spring like mini arrangement straight from the garden. Some tatty iceberg roses, sweet peas self sown into the herb bed and euphorbia. Teaming up with the Seasonal Flower Alliance.
